Heart diseases define a series of conditions that affect your heart. Disease of blood vessels may cause heart problems. The term heart disease is often used interchangeably with the term cardiovascular disease. The cardiovascular disease generally includes the conditions which have tapering or block blood vessels that can lead to a heart attack.
Heart disease is known as any disorder and deformities of the heart.
Types of heart disease
There are many types of cardiac problems which effect on different organs and also a function of the heart.
- Congenital heart disease
This type of heart disease present by birth. In this case, there is a hole between two chambers of the heart. The flow of blood in the vessels of the heart is partially or totally blocked. It may cause a shortage of supply of oxygen all our body.
This type of disease has irregular heart disease. An irregular heartbeat means either heart beats too fast and too slow.
Arrhythmias’ present when electrical impulses in the heart that organize the heartbeat do not work correctly. Irregular heartbeat is common, and all people face them. They feel like racing heart. Arrhythmias can become incurable.
- heart failure
Heart failure occurs when the heart doesn’t pump blood around the body properly. In this case, the left and right side of the heart may be affected.
- coronary artery disease
Coronary arteries may provide oxygen and nutrients to the heart muscles by blood circulation. These arteries become damaged because of blockage due to cholesterol.
- Mitral regurgitation
In this case flow of blood in the heart is irregular. This allows blood to flow back into the heart when it should leave.
Most common type of heart disease is angina. In this type of disease, chest pain is occurring, when part of the heart doesn’t receive enough oxygen.
Symptoms of heart disease
Most common symptoms of heart attack are chest pain, heartburn and a stomach pain, as well as serious sensation in the chest. Pain travel through the body, from the chest to the arms, neck, and back. Feeling sweating. Heart failure also causes due to heart disease. Breathlessness also occurs when the heart becomes too weak to flow blood. Some cardiac disease has no symptoms in the case of individuals with diabetes. The person feels high levels of fatigue, a blue tint to the skin, fast heartbeat, chest pain.
Causes of Heart Disease
There are many causes and Blockage of arteries is the main cause of this issue. High blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, smoking, and overweight may cause heart disease.
By birth, cannot be cured, but another type can be prevented by taking the following measures.
- Do exercise regularly
- Maintain healthy body weight
- Quit smoking
- Eat a balanced diet
- Decrease the use of alcohol
These factors can help to improve overall health and greatly diminish the probability of heart complications.
